I added a color layer for depth (15jun13):

"deep color" layer: in the PSD, add a layer under the "color" layer (and above "under"):

for the ogre:

• brush 39 "chalk pastel"
• 50% opacity
• 2 ogre skin
• 1 ogre sleeve base
• 2 ogre shirt
• 3 ogre pants

for the mermaid:

•  50% opacity
• 1 mermaid skin base
• 3 mermaid skin (for hair)
• 1 mermaid bottom base (for fish bottom)
